Heli-Expo returned to Dallas this year for another successful show. There may not have been as many helicopters onsite as in years past, but the crowds did return to the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. Heli-Expo 2022 was very well attended by people from across the industry and throughout the world.
GPMS had team members onsite to meet customers, answer questions, and give live demos. The team was very busy giving demos to interested owners, operators, and even OEMs. This was a great opportunity for us to put Foresight MX in front of people, show them the intuitive user interface, and showcase the advanced technology and meticulous detail of Foresight MX. It was exciting to see such a high level of interest when our engineers and customer success team explained how the advanced features translate into actual savings of both time and money.
Our GPMS team also made several big announcements during the week of Heli-Expo that generated a lot of excitement in the industry. First, we announced that we received the Foresight MX STC for the H125 from Transport Canada making Foresight MX available to H125 operators in both Canada and the United States. East West Helicopter completed the initial installation with support from its associated Canadian company, Panterra Heli Support. Enabled by the TCCA and FAA STC’s, the company has partnered with NS AIR Leasing to futureproof its fleet of H125 series aircraft that will operate in both Canada and the United States.
Next, we announced that we received the Foresight MX STC on the MD530. This was accomplished through very close collaboration with the team at MD Helicopters. For the STC, Wysong Enterprises installed Foresight MX on an MD530 that belongs to the Tennessee Valley Authority. This is an important STC for operators of the MD530 platform, which is widely used in public safety missions as well as by customers like TVA in utility, powerline, and construction operations. With the STC on the MD530 platform, TVA will have Foresight MX on its full fleet of Bell 429’s, 407’s, and MD530’s. After we issued our press release about the MD530 STC, the team at MD Helicopters announced that their collaboration with GPMS on the MD530 was part of a larger effort to deliver advanced support options for customers. And, as part of this effort, Foresight MX will be available “as an OEM solution for the aircraft platform.” This is exciting news for GPMS and for MD’s customers!
And finally, we announced a big customer win with Pathfinder Aviation: Pathfinder Aviation Adopts Foresight MX Predictive Monitoring System for its Entire Fleet. To accomplish this, Pathfinder has signed for 20 of our Foresight MX systems. Pathfinder has a mixed fleet of AS350 B2, AS350 B3/H125, H135, and Bell 212 helicopters. These helicopters were specifically chosen for the wide variety of missions they fly in the beautiful wilderness areas of Alaska, as well as the specialized operations and logistics solutions they provide for unique challenges worldwide. Foresight MX will allow remote aircraft and fleet monitoring with predictive analytics through a common user interface. GPMS President Jed Kalkstein and Pathfinder CEO Rogan Parker provide some valuable insight in the press release. You can read the Pathfinder announcement along with all of our other releases on our GPMS News page.
It really was a fantastic Heli-Expo 2022. In addition to the great exposure and opportunities we had to meet new and existing customers, this was also the first chance that many of our GPMS team members had to meet in person.
